Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Black Ops Suppression Systems collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers our website, our storefront, our dealer programme, and the software applications we operate.

Who we are

Black Ops Suppression Systems ("BOSS", "we", "us") is a brand of Cavalry Drone Services LLC, a federally licensed firearms manufacturer (FFL) and Special Occupational Taxpayer (SOT) located at 16 Long Branch Ln, Stafford, VA 22556, United States. We also trade as B.O.S.S. Silencers.

For any question about this policy or your information, contact info@bosscans.com.

Information we collect

When you buy from us or ask us about a product — your name, company name, email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address, the items you ordered, and the status of your payment.

If you are a dealer or distributor — additionally your Federal Firearms License number and its expiry date, your Special Occupational Taxpayer class and the EIN associated with it, copies of those licences, and the name of our point of contact at your business.

Regulated transaction records — where a transfer involves a suppressor or other item regulated under the National Firearms Act, we record the serial numbers involved, the ATF form and permit numbers, approval dates, and the licensed entity receiving the item. We are required by federal law to create and keep these records.

When you use the website — your IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

When you contact us — the content of your email, message or form submission, and our correspondence with you.

Payment card details

We do not receive or store your full payment card number. Card payments are processed by our payment providers, who handle the card details directly. We see only the result of the transaction and the last digits of the card where our provider supplies them.

Why we use it

  • To take, process, manufacture, invoice and ship your order.
  • To meet our obligations as a federal firearms licensee — including ATF recordkeeping, the acquisition-and-disposition record ("bound book"), and the ATF forms required to transfer a regulated item.
  • To verify that a dealer we ship to holds a current, valid licence.
  • To answer your questions and provide warranty and service support.
  • To keep the accounting and tax records we are legally required to keep.
  • To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
  • To send you information about our products, where you have asked us to or where the law otherwise permits it. You can stop these at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

We do share what is necessary with the service providers who help us run the business. Each receives only what that job requires:

  • Payment and store — BigCommerce and Square, to run the online store and take payment.
  • Accounting — Intuit QuickBooks Online, for invoicing, payments and financial records.
  • Shipping — ShipStation, FedEx, EasyPost and the United States Postal Service, to label, ship and track your parcel. Carriers necessarily receive your name, address and telephone number.
  • Firearms compliance — FastBound, which hosts our electronic acquisition-and-disposition record.
  • Email and productivity — Microsoft 365, which hosts our email.
  • Website infrastructure and analytics — Cloudflare and Google (Analytics and Maps).
  • Automated email handling — we use an artificial-intelligence service (Anthropic) to help sort and summarise incoming business email so that enquiries reach the right person. Message content may be processed by that service for this purpose. It is not used to train that provider's models.

Government. We disclose records to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and to other authorities, where the law requires it — including during a licensed compliance inspection. We may also disclose information to comply with a subpoena, court order or other legal process.

Business transfer. If the business or its assets were sold, customer records would transfer with it, subject to this policy.

Dealers shown on our public dealer map

Our website shows dealers who stock our products. The contact details we publish there mirror what that dealer already publishes on their own website — a general business address, telephone number and email. We do not publish personal or direct contact details given to us in the course of the business relationship. A dealer who wants their listing changed or removed should email info@bosscans.com and we will action it.

How long we keep it

Ordinary customer and order records are kept for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet tax and accounting requirements.

Firearms records are different, and this is the most important limitation in this policy. Federal law requires a licensed manufacturer to create and retain acquisition-and-disposition records and the associated ATF forms, and to surrender them to the ATF if the licence ends. We cannot delete those records at your request, and we cannot make an exception. If you ask us to erase your information, we will erase what we are permitted to erase and tell you plainly what we must keep and why.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it, subject to the firearms and tax recordkeeping limits above;
  • stop sending you marketing — every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, correct and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still exercise the other rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

If you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you additionally have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the business.

To exercise any of these, email info@bosscans.com. We may need to verify who you are before we act, particularly for a deletion request.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart and session working and to measure traffic through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the store may not work properly if you do. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no agreed standard for how to do so.

Security

We restrict access to customer and compliance records to the people who need it, log access to sensitive documents, and require additional verification for remote access. Records relating to firearms compliance are kept on systems that are not reachable from the public internet. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by law.

Children

Our products are not sold to minors and our website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete what we are permitted to delete.

Where your information is held

We operate in the United States and our records are held in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed there.

Our software applications

We operate internal business applications that connect to third-party platforms — including an integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online, and applications that read publicly available content from other platforms. These applications are used for our own business operations and are not distributed to the public. Where such an application handles personal information, it is handled in accordance with this policy, and any data obtained through a platform is used only for the purpose described to that platform and retained no longer than needed for it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted on the website.
